Room 742

The story

After traveling since before dawn, a woman gets her room number, 742, and her key card works. A man is already inside. She calls the front desk, describes him while looking straight at him, and learns the hotel has nothing else to offer for now.

So she improvises. A whole day in the same clothes is enough, she announces: she is changing, and he had better not be weird about it. He says nothing.

Episode 2 makes the silence the engine. She admits they are stuck together and asks what he wants and what his name is. No answer. Her next move is to pick a name for him herself, and it is a bold one.

The characters

• The guest: A worn-out traveler who tries to keep her cool while sharing room 742.
• The man: Already in the room, silent through every question, and renamed by her anyway.

Why watch it

One clean twist carries this premise: a room with someone already in it, a stranger who will not talk, and a woman who decides to fill the quiet herself. The humor is dry and the setup is simple. Tap episode 1 and see who blinks first.
