Truth or Dare With Emma Hix

The story

Nick's dad married Emma's mom, so on this Friday night Nick is home with his stepsister and her friend Rhea, and both women are restless.

He tries to escape to bed, but Emma threatens to complain to her mother and Rhea insists it will be fun. The bottle spins. His dares push him next to Rhea, then closer still. A dare about his hoodie gets scrapped for being too tame, and a payback dare lands one of the women in his lap until her next turn.

Mom tells them to quiet down because Dad is sleeping. Emma changes the rules: whispers only, she picks every dare, and Nick has to close his eyes.

The characters

• Emma Hix: Emma Hix's AI twin as Nick's stepsister, the one running the game.
• Rhea: Emma's best friend, quick with a dare and happy to tease Nick.
• Nick: The stepbrother who wanted sleep and got a bottle spun at him instead.
