My Stepsister Plays Hard To Get

The story

Kayla is mid-chant at a turtle rally when her stepbrother Cole leans on his car horn. Their parents are out of town all week, he has orders to keep an eye on her, and he announces it publicly. Kayla's verdict: creep, not her type.

He brings her water after a morning of shouting. He owns up to ogling her, and she issues a lifetime ban on any further peeks. A seagull makes the day messier, and he offers something to clean up with.

On the ride, she insists he never stare again. He swears he never did. Later she tells her friend Tess that he stared the whole way, then admits it was kind of cute.

The characters

• Kayla: Stepsister, loud on a protest line, quick with insults, and hiding a very different verdict.
• Cole: Her stepbrother, assigned to look out for her, who takes the job very literally.
• Tess: Kayla's friend and the first stop for her unfiltered version of every ride.

Why watch it

Pick this for fast banter and a rivalry that obviously will not last: a protest, a car horn, a ban on staring and a friend who hears the truth. Kayla swears she is not interested, which is the joke. Start with episode 1 and watch her story change before the ride ends.
