The Nuns Took Me In

The story

Lost among the trees and soaked by a storm, a traveler asks a convent to shelter him. The sisters take him in a bit too eagerly: one swears he is safe while another tells him to lose his wet clothes.

At dinner they admit it has been three years and eight months since a man stayed, and their prayers ask forgiveness for what awaits him tonight. Nobody says what.

In episode 2 he asks what the plan is. The sisters swear they have nothing in mind, only prayers, until one admits she was brainstorming. At bedtime they remind him to ring the bell for anything at all, and one stresses the word anything.

The characters

Why watch it

Irreverent and playful: a sheltered house, a stranger and a convent of sisters with plans. The hook is that nobody says what the plan is, only that the guest should expect a lot. Episode 1 gets you through the door, into the gown and to dinner.
