Dad Left My Step-Mom

The story

Jo's husband left for someone else, and her hurt is oddly specific: all those hours on the yoga mat, and he never looked twice. She asks her stepson Tyler to be straight about whether she looks old. He says she is his stepmom. His trembling hand disagrees.

A phone call interrupts. Someone plans to visit on Sunday to talk, and Jo shrugs: she will keep busy. She asks Tyler to spend the weekend, because that bed feels too big without company.

Episode 2 circles back. Her husband turned away from her every night. Tyler says no, she does not feel old. Jo tells him to quit being polite: after three summers of looking, he is finally allowed to touch.

• Jo: Tyler's stepmom, newly left by her husband, and tired of being politely ignored.

Why watch it

If you like a seduction built on a single question, this fits. Jo is hurt, funny and direct, and with Tyler as the only other person in the room, everything stays intimate. The hook is whether she looks old and what his body says in reply. Open episode 1 and listen to his answer.
