The story

Bren is married, and her husband Doug works nights. One morning she catches her neighbor watching through the window, and instead of closing the blinds she keeps going. She tells him she sees him every day, and maybe she likes it.

When Doug gets home and heads straight to bed, she promises to be very quiet. Watching is free, she tells the neighbor, though she hints at far more, so he should come over tomorrow, before her husband is back at eight.

He arrives, and she starts him on a floor stretch. Doug is at work two more hours, she says. Then word comes that he got off early, and she tells her guest to stay quiet.
