My Best Friend's Bride

The story

Two days before his best friend Jake's wedding, the best man runs into the bride. Jake asks him to cover the dress fitting while he handles the caterer, and soon Bri wants help with a zipper upstairs, pointing out that Jake is useless at it and always asleep. She points out that six years have passed without him trying anything. When he reminds her she was Jake's, she answers with a question of her own.

Episode 2 finds him telling himself she's off limits and failing to look away. Bri says that's the thrill of it and asks him to help her out of the dress before her fiancé returns. Jake wanders the house hunting for his keys.

• Bri: The bride, bold enough to ask for zipper help and bolder about what she says next.
• Jake: The groom, always busy with the caterer or asleep, and about to come looking.
