Forgive Me, Father

The story

The new priest has just finished a sermon about resisting temptation, and the congregation files out praising it. Mika is among them, and she chooses that moment to confess. Kneeling in the booth, she admits to improper thoughts about the new priest.

He tells her she shouldn't talk to him like this. She replies that she thought confession was for telling everything, and offers to describe what crossed her mind once the sermon ended. He cuts in a beat too fast, and she notices. The thoughts, she says, started with his hands. He insists this is not absolution, and as she walks away, he looks disappointed. The scene closes on a last chance to say no.
