The Nun in Our Guest Room

The story

Veronica announces that a nun called Sister Dark Angel will stay in the guest room until Sunday. Her son expects a stern visitor and finds a beautiful one at the door. He carries her bag upstairs, and she says he's kinder than the men at her parish. Later she compares a taste to heaven, and their prayer asks for kind hands and trust in whatever happens tonight.

By episode 2 she knows he was watching and says she heard him the night before. He flees in a panic. Veronica tells the sister to go through her son for anything. Then the sister explains Sunday: her vows, after which the things she hasn't tried stay untried for life.

The characters

• Sister Dark Angel: Guest nun with a Sunday departure, polite on arrival and much bolder once the door closes.
• The son: Veronica's son, sent to carry her bag and stunned by how beautiful she is.
• Veronica: The host who invited the nun and cheerfully tells her to ask her son for help.

Why watch it

A strong fit for readers who like a forbidden-faith setup played with a straight face: a deadline on Sunday, a house with a guest room and a nun who has decided what she wants first. The mood is hushed and the lines carry a double meaning. Episode 1 begins at the front door.
