One Room with My Fiancée’s Mother

The story

His wedding is on an island, the hotel runs out of rooms, and the staff move his future mother-in-law, Holly, into his. She jokes that she takes excellent care of her roommates and notes the room holds a single bed.

His fiancée calls to apologize. He says it's no trouble and that he'll keep her mother company. Holly insists the floor is out of the question.

Later she asks for a massage to ease her sore hips and wonders aloud whether her daughter mentioned how good his hands are. He asks himself what he's doing. His fiancée lands tomorrow around lunchtime, which leaves one night, and Holly is happy to call it his last before marriage.
