The story

The biggest contract of the year hangs on Richard, a client who wants to meet spouses before he signs. The boss's real husband is out of the picture, so a colleague says anyone will do. She picks the least senior man in the office and tells him to pack a suit.

His partner at home teases him about a three-day trip beside the office terror; he insists the boss is all business. When Richard asks for the husband's name on the paperwork, she promises it before her employee can object.
