Mona's Worst Enemy

The story

Their father and his girlfriend are out for work, so Mona's stepbrother takes the chance to needle her. He honks, she scolds him, and she insists he is not her type. Then she catches him looking, and he admits it. Later he blames a raccoon in the road, keeps stealing glances the whole way home, and Mona privately admits the attention was a little cute.

Dishes come next. His dad's girlfriend wants them done, so the stepbrother makes a bargain: clean up, and he will take Mona clubbing. She refuses at first, then takes a gift for the evening and checks his reaction. He replies that he will eat her alive tonight.

The characters

• Mona: Sharp-tongued stepsister who swears he is not her type, then keeps answering his looks.

Why watch it

Stepsibling banter where every insult is half a flirt is the whole engine here. The setup is simple, the lines are quick, and the dish-duty deal puts a clock on the evening. Mona says no to almost everything and keeps almost smiling. Episode 1 shows how long she can stay unimpressed.
