Boys Not Allowed

The story

Girls' night has one rule, and the stepbrother is the one it excludes. He has dated Ava for two years, and she is best friends with his stepsister Camila, which has made life complicated ever since. He cannot stop noticing Camila, and she has noticed him noticing.

Movie night begins, and Ava dozes off on the sofa twenty minutes in, as usual. Camila finds him in the kitchen and asks if he is allowed now. She does not wait for the answer.

With Ava a few feet away, Camila decides to test his loyalty. He keeps saying this is wrong, and she keeps treating that as a reason to continue.

The characters

• Camila: The stepsister, bold and amused, who writes the rules of the night as she goes.
• Ava: The girlfriend and Camila's best friend, who falls asleep in the middle of every movie.
• The stepbrother: Loyal on paper and tempted in practice, he is always one step from getting caught.
