Kitty Kittara

The story

Katara starts the morning curled up beside her boyfriend, purring, begging to be petted and carrying breakfast to bed. He plays along and calls her his kitty.

Then his phone lights up. Katara demands to know who is texting him, and the answer is bigger than any rival: he won the scholarship he told her about and has to leave.

He asks her to drop the cat act, she says she only does it because he likes it, and he admits he does. She keeps something of his for its scent, promises a thousand kisses before he goes, and says life without him sounds impossible.
