My Step-Son's Bully

The story

Lexi hears that her stepson is being picked on at college, and she is not the kind of stepmom who lets that slide. She goes to the house of the athlete responsible and demands that it end. The confrontation takes an unexpected turn: face to face, Lexi finds the jock attractive, and her anger changes shape.

Instead of walking away, she makes a deal she knows is reckless, because it will end the bullying. The agreement stays secret, and it soon slips out of her control. Protecting her stepson now depends on a man she should not want.

The characters

• Lexi: Protective stepmom who storms over to end the bullying, then finds herself drawn to the culprit.
• The stepson: College student tormented by a jock, and the reason Lexi gets involved.
• The jock: Campus athlete behind the bullying, now holding a secret agreement with Lexi.
